Between the years 1971-1972 Maria Callas gave a series of master classes at the Julliard School in New York City.

In the beginning of 2009, the solo piece "La Divina" was created by Shlomit Fundaminsky as a "private master class" to research Callas' character and life. Callas' transitions between glamour, glory, praise and admiration, to lows of loneliness and heartbreak were the material for the work. 

Maria Callas in her personality is an opera by itself. Through her inspiration Shlomit Fundaminsky came up with a new language of movement.
